1163: We Will Not Go Down!

A Michael Heart created a song about Israeli agression to the Gaza Strip. The song is called "A Song for Gaza". Below is the lyric, as taken from his site.

WE WILL NOT GO DOWN (Song for Gaza)
(Composed by Michael Heart)
Copyright 2009

A blinding flash of white light
Lit up the sky over Gaza tonight
People running for cover
Not knowing whether they’re dead or alive

They came with their tanks and their planes
With ravaging fiery flames
And nothing remains
Just a voice rising up in the smoky haze

We will not go down
In the night, without a fight
You can burn up our mosques and our homes and our schools
But our spirit will never die
We will not go down
In Gaza tonight

Women and children alike
Murdered and massacred night after night
While the so-called leaders of countries afar
Debated on who’s wrong or right

But their powerless words were in vain
And the bombs fell down like acid rain
But through the tears and the blood and the pain
You can still hear that voice through the smoky haze

We will not go down
In the night, without a fight
You can burn up our mosques and our homes and our schools
But our spirit will never die
We will not go down
In Gaza tonight

You can download the song from his site, here.

I've only listened a part of it on TV. TVOne uses it as a background music for their Gaza-Related stories. When I tried to download the song from Heart's site, or any other site, I failed. I think they are blocked by the IT Department here.

Luckily, I found an MP4 link here. But I still can't listen, because I don't have loud speakers or headphones here at the office. I'll listen to it at home, if I'm not too exhausted that is.

For your Information

Where is the name "Can You Keep a Secret?" taken from?

This Blog is named after Utada Hikaru's song, not after Sophie Kinsella's Chicklit.

Why is it called "Can You Keep a Secret?"?

Because you are expected to keep whatever you have read here a secret, especially if the entry is related to my personal experience.

I've seen several themes for this blog. For instance, the World Cup 2006 theme, the Ruthless Zionists theme, the Jack The Ripper theme, and the Sherlock Holmes: Hound of the Baskervilles theme. What is the theme now?

The current theme is still Sherlock Holmes. The picture used for the header is taken from "The Sign of Four" novel. The two persons are Sherlock Holmes and his trustee companion, Dr. Watson. The dog is Toby. "I would rather have Toby's help than that of the whole detective force of London," Holmes states in the novel. You can either read it online, download the story from project Gutenberg, or read the summary in wikipedia.

Who is Sherlock Holmes?

Where do you live all this time? A cave? He is a fictional detective created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. I can safely say that he is the most famous detective, fictional or not - alive or dead, in the world. For more details, you can visit Sherlockian.net.

Why do you use this theme for your blog?

Obviously, because I am a fan on Sherlock Holmes. Secondly, because this theme is designed especially for me by Nindya. Thanks a lot, :)

What is the best browser to view this blog?

I'm not sure. Please report bugs if you see them.

How about the screen resolution? What resolution do you recommend to view this blog with?

You would probably want to set your monitor at 1024 * 768 or higher resolution.

Are you are going to make daily entries?

Probably not. Please subscribe to my feed so you won't be missing any up-dates.

Are you going to moderate comments?

Although comments are generally welcomed, but I do reserve the rights to publish or not to publish and to delete a comment (including the ones on the shoutbox). And I don't have to explain my actions to you, thank you very much.

You give the choice to leave anonymous comments in the commenting system. Are you really allowing that? Or did you forget to turn that option off?

I would really appreciate it if you put your name on the comments you make. Having that said, I do recognize your rights to make anonymous comments or to put a fake name on your comments. So, if you feel like doing it, please do. However, I won't be as appreciative to it as I am to the comments made under a real name.
